Visitors!

We've been super busy the past few weeks with our visitors! Grand Nana was here last week and Aunt Lisa, Braden, Ryder, Colby and Nana are here for another week. This picture was taken last weekend while we were on a picnic at Duke Gardens.

We've had a blast just watching the cousins hang out together. They all love to play outside, but it has been SO hot. We set up the sprinkler for them to cool off a bit.

Happy Easter!

We had a nice Easter weekend. We worked in the church nursery with 17 one year olds! And the big news: Kate let me do her hair!! and it lasted all day long! I am thrilled:)

Kate is talking using "I" now- "I running!" "I swimming!" "I get it!" "I do it" They are the sweetest little phrases I've ever heard. The phrase she uses most is "shoe back on"

Mexico!!

We had a wonderful trip to Mexico last week. It was so good to spend some time with my mom and Aunt Kris did a fantastic job taking care of Kate so mom and I could have a bit of time together.

We stayed at the Riu Playacar near Playa del Carmen. It was beautiful! The big decision of the day was: beach or pool?? Kate loved playing in the sand, swinging at the playground, swimming in the pool and jumping in the waves. She was also a huge fan of popcorn!

Kate calls my mom "Annie" and really got along well with Aunt Kris.

I hardly got any tan because I was so worried about getting burned!

Sleepy baby! We were all ready to go swimming in the pool, but by the time we got there, Kate was asleep wearing her life jacket and her floaty!
